CLOSED | Call for Entry: Online Group Exhibition - "Speed” October 2019
We are excited to announce our October online group exhibition, Speed, is sponsored by Stroppa Straps! With their support, we will be giving away four Stroppa “Fat” Camera Neck Straps to the juror’s top selections of this online exhibition! To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:
For this exhibition, we are looking to explore the idea of capture movement with photography. Tim Scott writes: “Speed and a still photograph. How is it possible to share the feeling of speed with an image that is not moving? This has been the challenge for photographers since the invention of photography. The photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue captured in 1912 perhaps one of the most iconic and influential photographs of speed when he was just 18 years old–and it still confounds and inspires photographers today.
We invite you to submit up to two photographs for this exhibition that capture the concept of speed and movement the way Jacques Henri Lartigue did long ago. The images should convey the idea of movement and/or speed. This does not need to necessarily be of a car but can be of any subject that tells a visual story of movement and speed. There are no limits to the photographs submitted, other than the fact that they are created using an analog film technique or process. The best of these images will be showcased in an online show curated by motorsport and portrait photographer (and Analog Forever Magazine writer) Tim Scott! This online exhibition will go live on our website on October 14th, 2019! Please follow the directions below to complete your submission. Good luck!
The deadline for submissions is September 30sth, 2019!
