CLOSED | Call for Entry: Online Group Exhibition - "The Psychology of Night” September 2020
We are excited to announce that our September 2020 online group exhibition, “The Psychology of Night”, is being curated by esteemed photographic artist and educator, Jason Langer! To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:
Jason Langer writes: There is a long tradition in photography of capturing the sights and moods of the night and times of low light. If we look at this same tradition in other artistic mediums we can discern a psychology of this time. Introspection, quiet and not abiding by the mainstream rules of the day. This call for entry is an opportunity to illustrate the night’s effect on the mind - solitude and privateness as well as self-expression afforded in times when most are asleep. Entries should emphasize the night’s extra-ordinary effect.
We invite you to submit up to two photographs for this exhibition that capture the concept of this theme. We offer no limits to the photographs submitted, other than the fact that they are created with analog film or process. The best of these images will be showcased in an online show curated by esteemed photographic artist and educator, Jason Langer! This online exhibition will go live on our website on September 14th, 2020. Please follow the directions below to complete your submission. Good luck!
The deadline for submissions is August 30th, 2020!
