We are excited to announce that our May 2020 online group exhibition, “Horizons”, is being curated by the Founder and Executive Director of the SE Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, Michael Pannier! To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:

"Have you ever come across a scene of the natural environment and had your breath taken away? Have you ever been unable to take your eyes off of a vista so immense and dramatic as your heart rate began to speed up? Have you ever captured that view using analog photographic means? For those that have, Analog Forever Magazine and curator, Michael Pannier, Executive Director of the Southeast Center for Photography, wants to see how you see. Now is your opportunity to share what gets your blood moving like nothing else.

The landscape of our planet is as varied and affecting as it is simple and serene. The possibilities are endless for containing these scenes using film or historical process. Let’s see the magic that you have witnessed and frozen in time for all of us to perceive. With a tradition rich in historical narrative, we are seeking your images from days past, as well as contemporary photographs.'“

We invite you to submit up to two photographs for this exhibition that capture the concept of this theme. We offer no limits to the photographs submitted, other than the fact that they are created with analog film or process. The best of these images will be showcased in an online show curated by the Founder and Executive Director of the SE Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, Michael Pannier! This online exhibition will go live on our website on May 11th, 2020! Please follow the directions below to complete your submission. Good luck!

About the Curator

The fine art images of photographer Michael Pannier, whether landscapes of the desert southwest, studio figurative work or conceptual pieces, are sought after and included in collections throughout the United States and Canada, Europe, Japan, and India.

Working from his Greenville, SC studio, conveniently located between the Charlotte and Atlanta metro areas, he frequently travels to Los Angeles and New York maintaining studio relationships in both locations. Working on personal projects, Michael may be found wandering the streets of major cities or the desolation of the desert southwest.

Michael hosts and conducts fine art photography workshops in his studio and on location in Death Valley, the Alabama Hills and the Owens Valley, and Joshua Tree. More information about the workshops can be found at the SE Center for Photography.

As Founder and Executive Director of the SE Center for Photography in Greenville, SC, Michael is a frequent speaker on the business of fine art photography, exhibition curator and juror, and portfolio reviewer.

Submission Guidelines:

Image Specifications:
1) Only .jpg files will be accepted.
2) Images must be 1500px on the shortest side at 72dpi.
3) No photo-shopped borders or watermarks.
4) Only two images may be submitted.
5) Images must be named in the following format: “FirstNameLastName1.jpg”, etc.

Email Specifications:
1) The subject line of your email should state: "Submission: Horizons”
2) Please ATTACH your images to the email. Do not embed them. Do not attach a google drive or dropbox link.
3) Please do not send PDF or Text Files. Please put all information into the body of the email.

Specific information needed for each Submission:
1) Your name as you would like it to appear.
2) The Camera and Process used to create your images.
3) Titles for each of your photograph(s). Write out each title exactly as you would like it to appear.
4) Email Address in the text of the email.
5) The Website Address you would like your images linked to.
